Various Programmes and Schemes of Barmer



The Bhamashah Yojna is a Government of Rajasthan project started on 15th August 2014 for the women empowerment, financial inclusion, DBT etc. The main aim of Bhamashah Yojna is to deliver all cash and non-cash benefits to all beneficiaries in a clear and transparent manner through a single integrated platform.

Bhamashah Yojna will also include PDS, Pension, and Scholarship for higher and technical education in nearby future. This Yojna provides financial inclusion based on the family where each family will be given a Bhamashah card containing bank account number. This bank account is a HOF (Head of family) account number which is necessarily of a woman. She can utilize the money present in Bhamashah account for the welfare of her family. This card ensures biometric identity and core banking facility of a family.   

Under this scheme, each family is being verified and respective database will be created for the whole state. Further duplication can be verified and corrected afterwards. Statistics and social norms will also be included by various departments for candidature.

Aadhaar is a 12 digit unique identification number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) on behalf of the Government of India. This number will serve as a proof of identity and address, anywhere in India.

Unique identification project was started by the Planning Commission which provides unique identification for each resident across the country and would be used primarily as the basis for efficient delivery of welfare services.

Aadhaar is accepted by various renowned agencies like RBI, IRDA, SEBI, PFRDA Indian Railways, Passport Sewa, Department of revenue, central government and various state government etc.

The social justice and empowerment department runs follwoing schemes:- 

1. Palanhar Yojna : 

This Scheme cover widow's child, orphan child, child of disable parents and child of HIV Parents etc. Encouragement amount of Rs. 500/- per month for age of 0 to 5 year and 1000/- per month for age of 6 to 18 years for maximum 3 children. Relatives of orphaned children will be encouraged to take the responsibility of raising these children and they would get an honorarium in return. The total number of beneficiaries in barmer for june,2015 are 2397.

2. Gadiya Lohar Yojna :

There is a provision of Subsidy for gadiya lohar, where Rs. 75000/- in three installments is given to him to construct house. The total number of beneficiaries in barmer for june,2015 are 13

3. Post Matric Scholarship :

Post Matric Scholarship scheme for student of Govt. & Non Govt. colleges.  The beneficiaries are SC, ST, OBC, SBC, EBC & DNT category student and family whose annual income is not more than 2.50 lac. The total number of beneficiaries in barmer for june,2015 are 1309.

4. Sahyog Yojna :

Encouragement amount on marriage of maximum 2 girls of BPL and Antyodya family. Provision of Rs. 10000/- for illiterate girl child, 15000/- for 10th pass & 20000/- for graduate girl child.

5. Disable Scholarship :

Disable scholarship is given to student who have more than 40% disability and family annual income not more than 2.00 lakh.

6. Sukhad Dampatya Yojna :

Disabled person who have more than 40% disability are eligible for Rs. 25000/- fixed amount on his/her marriage

7. Widow's Daughter Marriage :

Subsidy of fixed amount i.e. Rs. 10000/-  is to be given on marriage of widow's daughter.
